Opportunity
Currently, there isn't a product on the market that can capture the nuanced interests of a person and layer it over what a location has to offer.
We want to change the mental model of relocation by showing you the places that pique your interests and provide a feeling of home.

Process
The home interface went through many iterations. Our first instinct was to have a map take over the entire interface. After revisiting the information architecture, we decided that playlists should carry the same weight as the map. We kept our users privacy concerns in mind from the first interaction. We found in our research that sharing location data makes some users feel uneasy.Pocket is upfront with how it will be using location data. From there, we tie in the social experience of adding Facebook friends. To add a layer of personalization to a user’s first playlist, Pocket asks a series of short questions in onboarding.
